Family owned, independently operated, built on experience
John and Sarah have been running specialist European and British automotive workshops in Wellington since 2013. After operating under a franchise model for five years, they rebranded as Wellington European in 2018, creating an independent workshop focused on honest advice, specialist knowledge and dependable vehicle care.
John’s automotive career began at 18 as an apprentice technician. Over the years, he has worked across nearly every workshop role, including technician, workshop foreman, warranty administration, service advising and service management, including five years with Toyota. He is a qualified A-grade technician with additional frontline business management training.
Today, John, Sarah and the team continue to provide practical, straightforward service backed by decades of hands-on experience.
Booking with Wellington European means dealing with a small, hands-on team who explain things clearly and keep you informed throughout the job. You are not passed through a call centre or left chasing updates.
As work progresses, updates come directly from the team, with clear advice on what needs attention now, what can be monitored, and what can reasonably wait. If anything unexpected is uncovered, you will be contacted before any additional work is carried out.
Your vehicle is handed back once the agreed work is complete, with clear documentation of what was done.
Courtesy vehicles are available by arrangement where needed.
